Euromonitor International - Developing Markets Researcher – based in Madagascar
Euromonitor International is looking for researchers to work on an exciting new project aimed at researching developing markets across the world that are going through significant political or economic change. Starting end of August 2013, research is scheduled to last for 1 week and contribute to a report series we expect to publish in early 2014.
The focus of the research will be on obtaining information about political, macroeconomic and demographic trends, among others, as well as information on key consumer markets such as packaged food, home care products, soft drinks etc.
Researchers will be expected to conduct store checks and interview a wide variety of people who have knowledge of the areas being researched. Guidance will be provided by commissioners in our office in South Africa.
Ideally researchers will be fluent in English and the relevant local language(s). Access to a computer and a telephone is essential. A background in economics, marketing or related discipline would be advantageous. Researchers will be expected to communicate with commissioners on a regular basis over the 1 week research period.
Successful applicants will enjoy problem-solving, be able to work independently and demonstrate a 'can-do' attitude while being tenacious in their pursuit of information. We offer competitive fees and the opportunity to contribute to ground-breaking research on challenging developing markets.
